Privacy Policy

Who we are

Ikkyo Karate Aberystwyth is a traditional karate club based in Ceredigion, Wales. We are the home of the Ikkyo Karate Organisation (IKO). Our contact email is info@aberkarate.co.uk.

What data we collect

We only collect personal data that you choose to provide to us. This happens in two ways:

• Enquiry form — your name, phone number or email address, and any message you send. This information is delivered directly to us by email and is not stored on any server or third-party platform.
• WhatsApp messages — messages sent via the WhatsApp button are handled by WhatsApp / Meta under their own privacy policy.

How we use your data

We use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiry and to help you join the club. We do not share your data with any third party, and we do not use it for marketing without your explicit consent.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics, or advertising scripts. The only data stored locally in your browser is a technical preference used to keep the navigation working correctly on your device. No personal information is stored in cookies.

Our Facebook page is hosted by Meta. If you visit our Facebook page, Meta's own privacy and cookie policy applies.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry emails are retained only as long as necessary to process your query and set up membership where applicable. If you would like us to delete any information we hold about you, please email us at info@aberkarate.co.uk.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@aberkarate.co.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
