Congratulations to everyone who competed at the Kyu Grade Championship!  A huge number of us (26 in total!) went along to Prestatyn to compete and spectate. A massive well done to everyone who competed!  Ikkyo came away with lots of shiny medals and trophies, with winners……….

Katharina Hoene won 1st place in the Ladies Ippon Kumite;

Dan Baker won 1st place in the Mens Ippon Kumite;

Scott Fleming won 1st place in the Mens Senior Kata;

Lorna Meikle won 3rd place in the Ladies Junior Kumite;

Kerry Thomas won 3rd place in the Ladies Senior Kata;

Dan Baker won 3rd place in the Mens Junior Kumite;

Matt Foster won 3rd place in the Mens Ippon Kumite;

Scott Fleming, Timothy Hudson and Kerry Thomas won 2nd place in the Mixed Team Kata.

A special mention also goes to Christopher Davies, Sophie Eve Evans, Brett Ferguson and Nevin Gill who all competed for the first time ever!
