Welsh Squad Selections 2011
Congratulations and well done to those who tried out for the KUGB Welsh Squad selections in January. Selections were as follows: Kerry Lyn Thomas – Kata Squad. Steven Bailey – Kata Squad. Meleri Pryse – Kata Squad and Kumite Squad. Graham Hunt (University) – Kata Squad and Kumite Squad. All have trained particularly hard leading up to the selections and showed considerable skill and martial attitude.
Student Champs
Congratulations to everyone for doing so well at the Kyu Grade Champs
A good turn out saw us coming home with some good results. Scott Fleming won gold in the Men’s Kata, and also won silver in the team kata alongside Tim Hudson and Kerry Thomas. Scott, Tim, Nat Wright and Mark Reading took bronze in the Men’s Team Kumite, and Nat and Samuel Pike took gold and silver in the ippon kumite. Well done!
We’d also like to say a big well done to Anya, Rosie, Christopher and Ryan for also doing very well but unfortunately came home empty handed… this time. Let’s hope you get the luck you deserve next time.

Train With The Champions – Torbay 2010
It was an excellent week. Pete Bonser gained his instructor’s qualification on the Tuesday. As usual the course was top notch, mentally and physically exhausting but extremely rewarding and inspirational as always.
